Ville Jäättelä, MA

Ville Jäättelä is a historian and archaeologist, and a graduate of both the University of Tampere in Finland (2003) and the Faculty of Archaeology at the University of Warsaw (2023). Between 2003 and 2020 he taught history and social sciences in schools in Finland, and also spent two years teaching English in China; in 2019 and 2020 he lectured on summer courses for the Volksbund Deutsche Kriegsgräberfürsorge e.V. (Landesverband Sachsen) in Magdeburg, Germany, and for Concordia Language Villages in Bemidji, USA.

His archaeological fieldwork includes excavations at the Jewish Cemetery in Warsaw (2021, 2022), at Puck (2021), and at Novae in Bulgaria (2022). His research focuses on the academic collections of the University of Warsaw during the Second World War. He has been associated with the University of Warsaw Museum since 2023.
