Dorota Hipp, MA

Dorota Hipp is a conservator of cultural heritage. She graduated in Korean Philology from the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań in 2013, and in 2021 obtained a postgraduate qualification in the conservation and restoration of paper and leather from Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. She is the winner of the Doc. Leonard Torwirt Award, presented to the best graduates of the Art Conservation and Restoration programme at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Nicolaus Copernicus University.

She has undertaken conservation placements at a number of institutions, including the Benedictine Abbey in Żarnowiec, Pomerania (2018), and the Kórnik Library of the Polish Academy of Sciences (2019).

In 2021 she took part in the 7th Conservation Conference, organised by the Department of Paper and Leather Conservation and Restoration at Nicolaus Copernicus University, where she presented a paper on the conservation challenges associated with mounted historic photographs displayed in museum spaces.
