THE COLLECTIONS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF WARSAW’S FACULTY OF ARCHAEOLOGY. BECAUSE THE PAST HAS A FUTURE
(on display in front of the Former University Library)
29 May 2024 at 12.30 at the seat of the University of Warsaw Museum, Tyszkiewicz-Potocki Palace, Krakowskie Przedmieście 32.
Both exhibitions are part of the theme and promotion of Polish academic heritage, their shared focus being the relationship between academic collections and the university and the presentation of the history of academia in the broadest possible sense.
The exhibition ‘Unique collections of Polish Academia. Academic heritage in university collections’ presents selected objects from more than 30 university museums throughout Poland.
The exhibition ‘Collections of the University of Warsaw’s Faculty of Archaeology. Because the past has a future’ has on display some of the most valuable objects collected over many years at the Faculty of Archaeology of the University of Warsaw.
The project ‘Unique collections of Polish academia’ was co-financed from the State Budget. Social Responsibility of Science Programme – Popularization of Science and Promotion of Sports of the Minister of Science and Higher Education.
